Deputy General Manager, Transport Sales & Partnership

Responsibilities: 

• Drive business development strategies and develop relevant business cases to increase sales, revenue, and market reach across various sectors in Octopus Transport Business.
• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, foster innovative transport solutions/services, and identify potential partners and emerging market trends.
• Lead the identification, negotiation, and management of strategic partnerships with clients, industry leaders, service providers, and technology vendors.
• Lead a team of Transport Business Development Managers, Officers, and Representatives, providing leadership and mentorship.
• Oversee contract negotiations, project management, application development, and the launch of new solutions to the market.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new applications and features tailored to transport sector needs.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies to enhance Octopus's market share and profitability across Hong Kong's transport ecosystem.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree major in business or related disciplines.
• Around 15+ years of experience in sales, business development, portfolio or account management. MBA qualification in a renowned institution is preferred. 
• Proven track record of successfully managing and growing portfolio/ strategic accounts, develop new business cases and partnership with positive performance, preferably in sectors of public transportation, taxi self-service kiosks/vending, parking, vehicle fueling, schools, and access-control.
• Experience in developing and implementing go-to-market strategies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct market research, analyze competitor activities, and develop competitive strategies.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills with ability to combine business, strategy, finance and legal concepts to lead complex, multi-faceted deals.
• Excellent team player & communicator who can work seamlessly with customers, partners and cross functional teams within the company.
• Good business acumen, enthusiastic, self-motivated, persistent and well organized with attention to details.
