Senior Associate/Associate, Business Management Support (Sustainable Finance), Institutional Banking Group

Business Function
Corporate and Investment Banking provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans and foreign exchange. Responsibilities:

Sustainable Business Enabler

• Conduct research on sustainability topics, including climate risk, sectoral GHG emissions, biodiversity, environmental and social practices in the region and internationally, to name a few;
• Offer guidance to relationship managers, credit teams and customers on ESG risks, especially on climate risks, and contribute to the development and structuring of sustainable finance solutions or risk mitigating plans to enhance the overall risk profile of a transaction; and
• Develop, coordinate, and deliver relevant training.

Data management and Reporting

• Apply problem-solving and data analysis skills to identify innovative workflow efficiencies and implement technology solutions to enhance processes and overall strategy
• Extract and analyze data for various sustainability / climate related reporting

Innovation

• Explore how sustainability can be integrated across products within the group and develop partnership.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or advanced degrees in business related disciplines.
• Strong analytical and due diligence mindset. Strong understanding of sustainable finance principles, trends, and best practices.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
• Candidates who are already working in financial institutions are highly preferred.
• Possess professional and interpersonal skills to establish good rapport and working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
