Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Responsibility
Manage and administer the daily activities of the section in an efficient and cost-effective manner while maintaining high quality and sound risk control according to established procedures, bank policies, and service standards.
1. Process Management
- Ensure main duties are completed as per established procedures, policies, and guidelines, within specified standards of quality, agreed service levels, and industry cut-off times.
- Act as the main point of contact for the section to effectively communicate with internal partners, customers, and service providers on relevant matters and inquiries.
- Continuously review, recommend, and develop action plans for streamlining operational procedures, increasing productivity, enhancing operational control, and achieving resource utilization (for surge of volume) by means of Management Tool Kit (MTK).
2. Compliance and Risk Management
- Adhere to, provide guidance on, and ensure section members comply with the rules, guidelines, and regulatory requirements of the Bank, HKMA, MAS, etc., pertaining to the operations.
- Comply with UDMA Policy requirements as well as UDMA governance processes, controls, and support tasks, if required.
- Escalate exceptional/outstanding/suspicious transactions to the section head and other relevant parties where appropriate for necessary action per the Enhanced Incident Escalation/Incident Management Policy.
3. Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve the section's goals and to complete their responsibilities.
- Promote and encourage open and good communication amongst all levels of team members.
4. Project Management and Others
- Support any initiatives/new services and perform the coordinator role as designated.
- Keep abreast of business developments, market practices, laws and guidelines, and share with section members.
5. Main Duties
- Handle and process loan transactions (i.e., disbursement, repayment, rollover) in accordance with established processing/control procedures, operating Delegation of Authorization (DoA), and service standards.
- Create/delete/maintain details of loans in systems in accordance with approved terms. This is a concise description of system maintenance duties.
- Handle data input, contribution, and maintenance for CRA reporting of loan transactions in accordance with established processing/control procedures and Guidelines of the Sharing and Use of Consumer Credit Data. Clearly outlines data management and reporting responsibilities.
Requirement
- Degree in recognized Universities
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience with 3 years’ experience of people management
- Sound experience of banking operations and practices
- Positive attitude, self-motivated with strong analytical mind and creative thinking
- Strong senses of risk control and management
- Good interpersonal, problem-solving skills and negotiation techniques
- Good team player, supportive and flexible to take up unit tasks
- Good communication and presentation skills
