What will you do?

You will lead the Engineering (POMEC) function to ensure that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards. This role involves responsibility for the physical integrity of all facilities and active participation in all safety and security programs. You will be:

• Ensure the effective daily operation of all hotel Engineering and Maintenance (E&M) equipment.
• Analyze and manage POMEC operations and expenditures to optimize performance.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive long-term preventive maintenance program for the property.
• Uphold safety and security protocols while providing relevant training to departmental staff.
• Monitor and assess current and emerging trends, systems, and technologies applicable to the property.
• Execute energy conservation initiatives to enhance sustainability efforts.
• Maintain a strong understanding of FLHSS standards and sustainable practices.

What do we seek in you?

• Degree holder in Building Services, Engineering or related disciplines
• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience with 5 years at the managerial level, preferably in the field of hotel
• Holder of professional Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services qualification
• Holder of Registered Electrical Worker Certificate Grade B is required
• Solid knowledge in boiler, pumping, furniture repair & maintenance
• Experience in handling hotel licensing procedures, maintenances and fire safety
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
