AVP/VP – Portfolio Management and Credit Control, Commercial Credit Department

Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented AVP/VP to join our team, focusing on portfolio management and post-approval monitoring of commercial / SME lending. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with lending procedures, maintain accurate records, and support the smooth execution of various lending programmes. This role directly reports to Head of Commercial Department.

Responsibilities:

1. Commercial / SME Post-approval Monitoring:

  • Oversee and manage the monitoring of Commercial / SME lending to ensure adherence to internal and external regulatory requirements
  • Track loan performance and repayment schedules, identifying potential risks or issues for escalation
  • Manage the watch list and special mention borrowers of the assigned portfolio
  • Conduct portfolio reviews
  • Manage various MIS and reports

2. Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure the compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines of the assigned portfolio

• Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation to support regulatory reviews

3. Internal Customer Support:

• Address inquiries, providing accurate and timely information on the loan accounts

• Liaise with other departments to resolve customer issues and provide excellent service

4. Administrative Support:

• Prepare and issue correspondence, reports, and statements related to SME lending programmes

• Assist in organising and maintaining filing systems, both electronic and physical


5. General Duties:

• Support the team in ad-hoc projects or administrative tasks as required

• Collaborate with colleagues to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency

Requirements:

  • Diploma or higher education in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of banking experiences with prior experience in commercial portfolio management and credit control for not less than 3 years
  • Prior experiences in managing or approving a large volume of SME credit applications an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English and Chinese / Putonghua
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with experiences in programming of Excel preferred
  • Candidates with strong unsecured retail credit portfolio management experiences also considered
