Senior Computer Operator - Information Technology

Responsibilities

• Perform console operation & take corresponding actions according to alert message
• Handle batch processing & job recovery
• Operate various computer equipment, carry out first line diagnosis of problems & take corresponding actions according to pre-defined procedure
• Manage backup media
• Assist in inventory control
• Perform physical security control according to Operations Guideline
• Perform health check as specified in Operations Procedure
• Assist supervisor to manager the team
• Observe and analyze ongoing operations, identify problems and provide improvement suggestion

Requirements

• HKCEE/HKDSE with 5 subjects, including Chinese, English and Mathematics at Level 2/Attained/Grade E or equivalent or above; OR
• Related IT experience covering the following:
• Experience in UNIX & Windows preferred
• Knowledge in IBM z/OS and z/OS utilities is an advantage
• Knowledge in Job Scheduling tool is an advantage
• Need to attend daily (include Sunday and public holidays) 24-hour shift duty
• Good communication & interpersonal skills
• Less experience will be considered as Computer Operator
