The Assistant Manager supports the Outlet Manager including daily operations and the supervision of the team. Strives to continually improve Member engagement and experience, employee satisfaction and maximizes the financial performance of the outlet. This position will also play a pivotal role in implementing on the job training plans and highlighting areas for improvement.
Job Description
- Supervise all outlet employees for performance, Member and guest experience, appearance and attendance
- Act as Duty Manager during shifts and process checklists for successful operations and End of Day Reports
- Ensure employee team are on time and that each shift has adequate staffing levels. Flag up any shortfalls due to sick leave, non-arrivals or lateness to Manager or DoF&B
- Maintain an exceptional service standard and ensures these standards meet and exceed the expectations of the Members on a daily basis. Follow SOP’s and works with team in training and refreshing of SOP’s
- Supervise service delivery in outlet to ensure excellent service from welcome (e.g., greeting from hosts, speed of order taking and food and beverage delivery, fulfilment of special requests, collection of payment and invitation to return) to fond farewell
- Build and develop strong relationships with all Members, BOG and committee Members
- Ensure administrative and operational tasks are completed in a timely manner and consistently look for ways to improve business and service standards
- Maintain a strong relationship with the kitchen and chefs and ensure regular and effective communication with BOH teams
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Outlet Manager or Management Team
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma
- 8+ years’ experience in food and beverage, culinary or related professional area
- Good spoken English
- Previous experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or Restaurant Supervisor preferred
