Assistant Procurement Officer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase requests (F&B categories) to meet operations needs in a timely manner  
  • Source suppliers and stay updated on market trends, technology developments, government regulations and the hotel market
  • Negotiate the best deals in terms of quality, pricing and delivery arrangements
  • Keep track of purchase orders and assist the user departments in maintaining an optimal stock level
  • Assist in reviewing agreement terms and conditions to protect the hotel’s interest

Job Requirements:

  • Process a tertiary education background in Hospitality Management or relevant disciplines
  • Preferably, have a minimum 1 year relevant experience in the Hotel sector / F&B Catering Industry
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical and negotiation skills
  • Resourceful, with an awareness of market trends and technology developments in food and beverage items
  • Have a strong network with counterparts and vendors in the hospitality / catering industry
  • Detail-oriented when reviewing contract details i.e. pricing, payment terms, tendering and bidding documents
  • Proficient in SCM procurement systems and computer literacy
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the positions of Procurement Assistant
