Risk Control Lead

Job Responsibilities

Take overall charge of the establishment of the company’s full risk control system and top-level design & iteration of risk control strategies, covering account security, anti-fraud, perpetual contract risk control, campaign risk control, deposit & withdrawal anti-money laundering and other scenarios; formulate standardized risk control processes, rule systems and SOPs.

Manage a risk control team of around 10 members, including strategy, model, risk operation and audit groups. Responsible for work allocation, OKR & performance management, professional training, cross-department collaboration and talent echelon building.

Lead the construction of risk control middle-platform operation; optimize risk control backend, rule engine, device fingerprint, black & white list, user risk profile and gang mining capabilities, and promote digitalized, automated and intelligent risk control implementation.

Take charge of pre-risk review, real-time monitoring and post-event loss review for all platform marketing activities including airdrops, referral rewards, contract bonus and Launchpad projects; prevent and contain grey/black industry behaviors such as wool farming, bot batch cheating, fake KYC, account phishing and gang arbitrage.

In-depth oversee perpetual contract business risk control, identify risks such as pin arbitrage, wash trading, funding rate arbitrage, abnormal position holding and large capital abnormal movements; design prevention strategies and frequency/limit disposal mechanisms.

Establish risk indicator monitoring dashboard, regularly conduct loss analysis and complaint governance, optimize strategy thresholds and interception rules continuously, and balance business growth, user experience and fund safety.

Collaborate with business, product, R&D, compliance and operation teams; deliver risk control solutions and early risk warnings, and lead closed-loop handling of major risk incidents.

Job Requirements

2–3 years of working experience as Head of Risk / Risk Control Lead, or served as the No.2 risk control leader in second-tier platforms. Proven experience managing a 10-person risk team. Not accepting team leads with only 2–3 subordinates or zero direct reports.

Solid experience in Web3 / crypto exchange industry; proficient in risk control system building, risk middle-platform operation, contract business risk control and full-scenario campaign risk control with practical landing experience.

Experienced in overall management of strategy, model, risk operation and audit teams; capable of setting team objectives, workflow, performance appraisal and talent development system independently.

Familiar with account risk management, device fingerprint, IP profiling, gang mining, KYC risk control, on-chain KYT and basic AML logic; able to design and launch risk control rules and scoring systems from scratch.

Strong data sensitivity; able to identify risk loopholes via data analysis, iterate strategies and reduce capital loss; capable of emergency decision-making and cross-department driving for major risk events.

Rigorous logical thinking, strong pressure resistance; candidates with risk team management and system construction experience at top or second-tier exchanges are preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building exchange risk control system and risk middle-platform / rule engine from 0 to 1

Background in credit card risk control (traditional banking) or cross-border payment risk control transferred to Web3 risk management

Outstanding track record in campaign risk governance, anti-wool farming and perpetual contract risk prevention
