Procurement & Category Specialist (IT Sourcing)

Responsibilities

• Carry out end-to-end sourcing activities for technology-related spend, including RFx preparation, supplier evaluations, comparisons, and tendering processes.
• Partner closely with internal IT, Finance, and Legal stakeholders to understand project requirements and convert them into structured procurement plans.
• Assist in reviewing, implementing, and executing category strategies to optimize IT spend across hardware, software licensing, and cloud services.
• Assist in negotiating commercial terms, pricing structures, renewal details, and basic SLAs to maximize savings and cost-efficiencies.
• Monitor vendor compliance, keep track of contract renewal schedules, and facilitate regular supplier performance reviews (KPI and SLA tracking).
• Maintain accurate sourcing documentation, contract registers, and procurement trails to support internal policies and auditing.

Requirements  

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of solid experience in IT procurement, IT sourcing, vendor coordination, or category support roles.
• Good hands-on understanding of IT categories, such as software licensing, infrastructure hardware, cloud packages, or telecom services.
• Practical experience coordinating RFx processes and communicating with external suppliers.
• Sound analytical mind with strong commercial awareness and high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.
• Professional fluency in English and Cantonese (written and spoken) is required; Mandarin is a strong plus to facilitate regional vendor discussions.
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment with multiple project timelines.
• Experience working in financial services or other structured, corporate environments is a plus.
• Prior exposure to IT contracts, software licensing terms, or cloud service agreements (SaaS, IaaS) is highly valued.
