Network & System Administrator

Job Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain bank network equipment (such as Cisco routers, switches, wireless controllers) and servers (Windows/Linux).
• Configure and manage Palo Alto and FortiGate firewalls, including security policies, VPN setup, and threat prevention features.
• Monitor network and system performance, proactively detect and troubleshoot issues.
• Implement and manage security measures (firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems).
• Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery operations.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Ensure IT systems comply with bank policies, regulatory standards, and audit requirements.
• Maintain documentation of network and system configurations, procedures, and change records.
• Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors for system upgrades, patching, and new project implementations.
• Provide technical support and staff training.
• Participate in IT risk assessments and business continuity planning.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in network/system administration; experience in banking or financial services is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, and network security architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco network equipment, able to independently configure and maintain devices.
• Proficient in configuring and managing Palo Alto and FortiGate firewalls.
• Familiarity with Hyper-V virtualization, including deployment, management, and troubleshooting of virtual machines.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and other virtualization technologies.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CCNA, MCSE).
