We are seeking an experienced IT System Developer to join the team, focusing on the development, enhancement, and support of the in-house middle-office and front-office systems. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain in-house systems for middle-office and front-office operations.
Plan and execute unit, functional, and integration testing to ensure systems meet functional requirements.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and test results.
Analyze, develop, test, and implement new and enhanced applications.
Collaborate with support teams to provide second-line technical support and resolve issues.
Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments for potential system solutions, presenting recommendations to stakeholders.
Provide early-shift support as needed.
Technical Focus Areas
Develop and design interfaces for middle-office systems and related back-office applications.
Support and enhance Excel-based tools used by equity middle-office and research teams.
Act as the primary developer for instrument static data systems, databases (e.g., SQL Server), SSIS, Linux batch jobs, and Excel tools.
Automate deployment and release processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
Work with regional offices to support and implement IT changes across locations.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in investment banking or securities trading, with exposure to middle-office/back-office systems for equity trading.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in C# or Java, Linux, shell scripting, Excel VBA, and SQL.
Experience with SSIS, Python, AWS Cloud, or similar technologies is a plus.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and practices.
Soft Skills
Self-motivated with strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
