Responsibilities:
Perform oversight of trustee and delegated services generally, including performing reviews and reporting in relation to the trust business in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
Ensure business units are comply with regulatory, Bank’s and compliance requirements when developing trust business; provide timely advisory to business units
Formulate, review and implement internal policies and procedures
Monitor and review policies, procedures, forms, documents etc designed by business unit
Communicate between business units and departments on trust business
Communicate and coordinate compliance issues with Legal & Compliance Department
Coordinate internal compliance issues, e.g. product management, tax compliance etc
Communicate with external parties on compliance issues
Provide appropriate compliance training to business units
Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree holder or above
Minimum 3 years of legal & compliance experience in trustee or private banking
Possess a good understanding of the legal, regulatory, compliance and risk requirements associated with a trustee and fiduciary responsibility
Solid trustee and fiduciary compliance experience with strong sense of internal control frameworks
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
Fluency in English, Cantonese & Putonghua with excellent written skills in Chinese and English
