Payment Manager, Central Procurement - Organization & Productivity Management

Responsibilities

  • Check and ensure that the processing of all payment/ petty cash transactions complies with the Bank’s policies, guidelines and circulars and the transactions are correctly accounted for
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure adherence to Bank’s guidelines and internal control purposes
  • Prepare monthly control reports for CEO, General Management Office, and Financial Control Department
  • Follow up the reimbursement of expenditures from affiliates, including but not limited to management of open item keys, copies/images of supporting documents, issuance of reimbursement memo/letter, funding arrangement emails, fund settlement, etc. 
  • Assist Team Head to resolve payment and fixed assets issues with internal departments and suppliers
  • Assist in managing outsourced resources and review the routine team activities to ensure they are completed accurately and on time.  Maintain strong collaborative operating model with Global Service Centre partners and suppliers to deliver robust Payment support
  • Manage diverse enquiries from external entities (government, solicitors, auditors) and internal departments; tasks include providing document support for payments and IT/Facilities projects, and assisting the Team Lead with formal replies and follow-ups
  • Lead initiatives to enhance strong governance of procure-to-pay processes and keep abreast of industry practices to apply in operating environment
  • Continuously improve the operating model of Payments by optimizing productivity for onshore/nearshore payment processes
  • Assist with ad-hoc assignments as required

 

Requirements

  • University Degree in Accounting or related discipline with recognized professional accounting qualification an advantage
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ work experience with solid 2 years of Accounts Payable experience
  • Knowledge of all aspects of payables procedures
  • Solid analytical skills, responsible, detail conscious and able to work under pressure and assist to lead the team to meet tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, with good sense of responsibility and integrity
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and risk awareness
  • Proficiency in using PC operation, such as MS Word, Excel ,Power Point and experience with Banking systems advantageous
