Commercial Banking – Business Banking
Hang Seng’s Commercial Banking business provides customized one-stop financial solutions to our corporate customers, from prime small and medium-sized businesses to publicly listed companies.
For customers conducting business locally or around the world, we offer a comprehensive range of services including corporate lending, trade and receivables finance, structured loan, cash management, investment, treasury services, insurance and e-Banking services. As a reliable financial partner, we attend to the specific business needs of our customers and provide efficient tailor-made banking solutions through our relationship managers and dedicated specialists.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Head of Business Growth and Ecosystem.
Principal Responsibilities
- Lead the deployment of strategies and the team for the execution of an effective strategy to drive quality New-To-Bank (NTB) customer referrals, with a specific focus on China Nexus customers for sustainable growth of Business Banking.
- Proactive connect and drive new relationships with various external ecosystems, including but not limited to trade associations, chambers of commerce, strategic partners, etc.
- Deepen collaboration with various external ecosystems and HACN for an effective customer referral model and momentum.
- Provide oversight and adhere to the onboarding governance, framework, and model for New-To-Bank (NTB) and engagement with referral parties.
- Identify segment-specific and/or industry-specific growth opportunities and lead the implementation of effective relationship and ecosystem enablement strategies
- Design meaningful data insights and exercise oversight to track business progress, implement remedial measures, or refine business/acquisition strategies if gaps against targets are identified.
- Build effective relationship strategies with industry sectors and various business partners.
- Enable the introduction of an effective model to collaborate and co-work with frontlines, other supporting units (incl. Customer Onboarding Team), and risk stewards.
- Through initiating, coordinating, participating in, and attending business partners’ events, strengthen the HASE brand as a business partner for SMEs, specifically for local, GBA, and start-up customers.
- Shape new ways of engagement and drive new tactics for growth and improved efficiency
- Manage and provide guidance to the team
- Support Head of Business Growth and Planning for strategic planning and departmental management.
Requirements
- University degree in Finance and Accounting, Economics, Banking, Business Management and related discipline. Professional qualification or higher educational level an advantage.
- Proven years of relevant working experience in the banking industry with focus on commercial banking. Frontline experience an advantage.
- Sound understanding of China market, Account Opening KYC and commercial banking products, including but not limited to commercial lending, trade finance, wealth management products, cash management solutions and various banking channels is preferred.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills with customer centricity mindset and dedication to deliver quality services to business partners.
- Flexible and with ability to multitask in a fast-pasted environment or under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective networks both internally and externally and create opportunities for others to work collaboratively.
- Strong command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua an advantage.
