AVP, Wholesale Wealth Management Compliance (Financial Institution Department)

Responsibilities:

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all regulations set by the SFC, HKMA, and other relevant regulatory bodies for Wing Lung Bank’s wholesale wealth management business and platform.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments on products and services under Wing Lung Bank’s wholesale wealth management business and platform to ensure their suitability and provide effective risk management recommendations.
• Policy Development and Implementation: Participate in the development and updating of internal policies and procedures related to Wing Lung Bank’s wholesale wealth management business and platform to ensure their effective implementation.
• Training and Education: Provide regular compliance training to frontline teams and other relevant personnel involved in Wing Lung Bank’s wholesale wealth management business to enhance their understanding and compliance with the latest regulations.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the daily operations of Wing Lung Bank’s wholesale wealth management business and platform to ensure all transactions meet compliance requirements; regularly report compliance status to senior management.
• Customer Protection: Ensure fair treatment of customers, including providing appropriate product information and ensuring that product recommendations on the platform are based on clients’ financial conditions and investment objectives.
• Collaboration and Communication: Maintain close collaboration with other departments such as legal and risk management to jointly uphold the bank’s compliance culture.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in compliance roles within financial institutions, with preference given to those with experience in distribution business compliance.
• Familiarity with Hong Kong’s financial market laws and regulations, particularly those concerning distribution business.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively communicating with employees at various levels.
• Good command of English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
