Manager, Voyage Controlling

This managerial position plays a critical role in overseeing voyage performance, cost management, and operational analytics across the organization. This role will work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven decision-making, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement in voyage execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee voyage performance analysis, P&L review, and management reporting
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of voyage cost and revenue data through robust data governance
• Work with Trade, Operations, Network and Finance teams to identify variances, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Review and optimize standard voyage cost structures to enhance forecasting accuracy
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across voyage execution and operational processes
• Define, monitor, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management
• Provide analytical insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions
• Support senior management with ad-hoc analysis, scenario evaluation, and business cases
• Act as a key communication bridge between management and team

Job Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, accounting or a related field
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in business control, voyage result / operations analysis, or shipping operations
• Solid experience within the shipping or transportation industry is strongly preferred
• Strong strategic and analytical thinking with a hands-on mindset
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at all organizational levels
• Proven ability to lead through influence in a cross-functional environment
• Highly adaptable, with the ability to respond quickly to operational changes
• Detail-oriented, resilient, and capable of managing multiple priorities
• Proficiency in data analysis tools, MS Office and techniques; experience in using data organization tools such as Power Query or similar is an added advantage.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, fluent in Cantonese / Chinese is preferred.
