Job Description:
1. Account Opening/Account Review & KYC Operations:
- Account Opening: Process and manage the account opening requests for new clients, ensuring that all documentation is complete and complies with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- KYC (Know Your Customer)/Source of Wealth: Conduct thorough KYC/SOW checks for new and existing clients across High Medium and Low AML risks , ensuring compliance with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations and other banking standards. Escalate High risk cases to Branch AML team for further approval. Manage and monitor overdue account reviews
- Client Documentation: Collect and verify required client documents, ensuring they are accurately maintained and updated in the system. Manage and monitor documentation deficiencies.
2. System & Process Improvement:
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements, ensuring that any upgrades or changes to the system are seamless.
- Regularly review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reflect changes in processes and regulations.
3. Ad-Hoc Duties & Support:
- Audit & Compliance: Support the team during audit engagements, risk assessments, and process reviews, ensuring smooth operation and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Covering Absences: Provide operational support during staff absences, emergencies, or periods of high volume, ensuring the continuity of operations.
- Team work: Work as a team and collaborate with all relevant departments to ensure PB business comply with the AML requirements.
Requirements:
- Experience: 1-3 years of solid experience in account opening/ account reviews including KYC / SOW review within the financial services industry. Preferably within the PB industry
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with banking platforms and systems such as Avaloq is a plus.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Mandarin (both written and verbal) is preferred
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle complex tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
- Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and independently, maintaining high quality and compliance standards.
- Teamwork: A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues as needed.
