AVP/VP, HR Compliance (Human Resources Department)

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated AVP/VP of HR Compliance to join our dynamic team at CMB Wing Lung Bank Limited in Central, Hong Kong. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in ensuring our HR practices adhere to all relevant regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities

1.   Assist the Section Head to establish, review and revise all HR compliance related policies / procedures for ensuring the Bank is compliance with all applicable regulatory and statutory requirements in HR related matters effectively.

1. Responsible for handling the Bank’s cultural reform initiatives as directed by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA).

2. Support the implementation and monitoring of compliance programs to meet internal and regulatory requirements.

3. Handle any request from internal or external auditors.

4.  Handle staff suspicious transactions monitoring.

5. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging regulations, and changes in HR governance practices and make recommendations for enhancements as necessary.

6. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Section Head.

What we're looking for

1. 8+ years of experience in HR compliance, preferably in the banking/financial services industry

2. In-depth knowledge of Hong Kong employment laws, regulations and best practices

3. Excellent understanding of HR policies, procedures and processes

4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address compliance risks

5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

6. Proactive and detail-oriented approach to ensure comprehensive compliance

7. Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Law or a related field
