Vice President/ Assistant Vice President, Operational Risk Management

Responsibilities:
 

• Review and comment Operational Risk Event (“ORE”) and Key Risk Indicator (“KRI”) assessment reports and monitor and keep track of action plans stated in ORE and KRI reports
• Review and provide advices on Key Process Evaluation (“KPE”) and the development of Control Self-Assessment(“CSA”)and KRI templates
• Review and follow up issues identified in CSA assessment reports
• Conduct KRI quality check
• Assist to maintain the operational resilience framework and conduct scenario analysis for critical operations
• Provide advice or operational risk assessments, including climate risk in relation to physical risk assessment and reputation risk for requests relating to new products/services, control
• measures stated in regulatory requirement gap analysis reports, and guidelines/SOPs
• Compile or review regular or ad hoc risk management reports, stress testing reports, and conduct ICAAP assessments on operational risk as well as reputation and strategic risk for submission to senior management, parent company and/or regulators
• Conduct training to promote operational risk management and internal control
• Participate in business continuity management activities and follow up on identified issues
• Perform ad hoc duties or projects assigned by the Head of Operational Risk Management or senior management

Requirements:

• University graduate or above
• 10 years or above relevant experience
• Substantial knowledge of operational risk management as well as the banking operations
• Well-versed in relevant policies, procedures and internal controls of the Bank as well as regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication and people management skills
• Good PC knowledge
• Possess ECF-ORM (Professional) will be an advantage
• Strong analytical skills and able to work independently and under pressure
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
