Responsible Officer with SFC Type 4 & 9 licenses

Job Responsibilities

• Implementation of investment strategies and policies to achieve strategic return and meet risk objectives
• Screen investment projects, prepare analysis at various stages and be responsible for the trade execution
• Conducting investment research, modelling and valuations
• Sourcing and leading deal negotiations
• Managing the entire investment process from deal screening, deal structuring, due diligence, documentation and closing, post-closing investment monitoring to exit
• Cultivating and maintaining strong and productive relationships with clients, co-investors and strategic partners
• Working closely with key stakeholders to ensure key performance indicators are being met
• Ensure that the investment portfolios comply with legal, regulatory, audit and tax requirements

Job Requirements

• Educated to minimum Master’s level (i.e. MBA, Masters of Finance and etc.), preferably with post-graduate/professional qualifications (e.g. CFA, CAIA and etc.)
• Attainment of the required SFC licenses (i.e. No. 4 & 9) to function as the fund’s Responsible Officer
• Significant working experience in mainland China
• At least 5 years progressive leadership experience in financial investment, financial analysis and private investment funds
• Proven track record in managing investment portfolios
• Strong experience in deal origination and execution
• Extensive network with local VCs, incubators and entrepreneur communities
• Deep theoretical and practical understanding of portfolio management techniques
• Excellent presentation and persuasion skills
• Competent in financial analysis, modelling and negotiation skills
• Fluent spoken and written English, Mandarin and Cantonese is a must
• Works well under pressure and frequent tight deadlines
