(Senior) Data Solutions Manager - Operational Strategy & Development

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into scalable, ethical and impactful AI/data solutions.
• Plan and lead the end-to-end implementation of Bank-wide AI/Data programs/projects with AI/data expertise.
• Bridge the gap between user team, technical teams and other key stakeholders to deliver measurable value for the Bank.
• Support the ideation & business cases development for AI use cases with satisfied ROI and commercialization opportunities. 
• Facilitate the development and implementation of AI/ Data solutions that generate measurable benefits for the Bank
• Deliver measurable program/ project financial KPIs and achieve benefits realization to internal stakeholders
• Facilitate the development and implementation of Data Solutions & Strategies that generate measurable benefits for the Bank, enable identification of new market opportunities to drive innovation
• Lead the end-to-end solution design process, defining functional, technical and control requirements. 
• Architect scalable, secure and maintainable solution blueprints in collaboration with data scientists and engineers.
• Plan, develop and lead the implementation of the end-to-end AI/Data solutions/project. Manage project timelines, resources, budget, risks and dependencies.
• Adopt best practices in AI & data project lifecycle management and contribute to the improvement of relevant policies and governance with constructive feedback.
• Work closely with business sponsors and stakeholders to identify opportunities
• Work closely with IT and Data scientist to develop and implement AI & data solutions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical audience. 
• Promote the continuous learning of new Fintech solutions and sharing of market best practice.
• Conduct market and technology research to stay ahead of trends in AI/ML, data engineering and cloud platforms
• Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators and the Bank, and carry out duties with high integrity; and
• Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate and monitor the risks involved in the day-to-day work
• Ensure AI/data solutions comply with data governance, security policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics or a related qualitative field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in data & analytics, with at least 3+ years in a role specifically managing AI/ML or complex data solution delivery in financial services and/or Fintech related industries. Previous experience in a managerial role is preferred. 
• Deep understanding of AI/ML frameworks (supervised/unsupervised learning, NLP, GenAI, etc.), data engineering and cloud platforms (GCP)
• Strong proficiency in prompt engineering, SQL and Python 
• Strong expertise in data modelling methodology, data visualization and statistical analysis.
• Strong knowledge of industry leading data management practices and ability to translate data insight into business value. Sound understanding of data governance and model risk management.
• Strong knowledge on business and operation models of banking, with thorough understanding on the local regulatory environment
• Result oriented and able to deliver under pressure
• Outstanding stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese
