Our team offers professional wealth management advice at both a local level and on a global scale. Should you join our Private Banking business, you will focus on building close relationship with our high-net-worth customers, providing professional advice and premium service to them and contribute to the profitability of the Bank.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Assistant Trust Operations Manager (6-9 months contract), reporting to Head of Trust Services.

Principal responsibilities

• Handle full set of trust accounts, including daily bookkeeping, journal posting and general ledger maintenance for designated trusts and related entities.
• Prepare periodic financial statements for trusts and companies, including reconciliations and adjustment entries.
• Perform bank and investment reconciliations, investigate unusual items, and ensure records agree with custodian and bank statements.
• Handle the team general administrative matters and assist on other internal reporting tasks
• Any other ad hoc tasks as assigned from time to time

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline;
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g. HKICPA / CPA Australia / ACCA) is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience; exposure to trust, fund accounting, family office or private banking / trust company environment is a plus.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles; knowledge of trust accounting and fiduciary duties is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems;
• Comfortable working with data and reconciliations.
• Detail minded, strong sense of responsibility.
• Good written and spoken English and Chinese; able to read legal and financial documents.
• Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage.
