We are currently seeking a highly accomplished and skilled leader to join the team in the pivotal role of Team Leader. This position demands a seasoned professional with a proven track record in leading a team, root cause identification, technical expertise across key platforms. Manage application software projects in accordance with user needs and specifications. Provide technical directions and support in the development and maintenance of application software and products. The successful candidate will work on applications focused to trade finance and custodian services.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a small team of talented individuals to achieve project milestones and deliver high-quality results
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable plans
- Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
- Manage vendor relationships effectively to ensure the timely delivery of products and services
- Collect user requirements effectively and perform in-depth analysis to drive project success
- Identify root causes of issues and drive effective solutions to enhance operational efficiency
- Develop, coach and mobilize the team to achieve specific software development goals. Take part in the actual development work when necessary
- Maintaining production system stability to ensure uninterrupted operations and high performance
- Evaluate, identify potential challenges and develop contingency plan to minimize business risks
- Ensure effective communication in place between users and IT team members within project and also cross projects
- Maintain up-to-date project file and ensure the design work are well documented
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Computer Science, or other relevant disciplines
- Over 12 years of relevant working experience, preferably in banking or financial service industry
- Experience with Linux, Java, Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server
- Knowledge in trade finance / custodian business and products is preferred
- Solid experience and knowledge on various banking applications
- Familiar with SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Solid regulatory and compliance experience combined with project management capabilities
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes of issues and drive effective solutions to enhance operational efficiency
- Proven experience managing a small team, with a track record of successfully leading and motivating teams to deliver results
- Experience in vendor management, including contract negotiations and vendor performance evaluation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and vendors
- Proven ability to manage multi-tasks and concurrent projects
- Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
