Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead, Skills Solutions & Architecture to play a critical role in ensuring our workforce at Standard Chartered are equipped with the right skills, in the right place, at the right time to support the Bank’s strategy. This pivotal role will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing oversight of our Bankwide skills architecture, providing clarity on the skills needed for current and future roles

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and oversee the Bankwide skills architecture, ensuring alignment with the Bank’s strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Technology Lead to leverage technology for skills management and development.
  • Work closely with the Organisational Design team to align skills architecture with Bankwide job architectures.
  • Partner with the People Analytics Team to design and execute a skills-first approach to strategic workforce planning.
  • Engage with business functions units to derive insights on current and future skills demand and develop solutions to address skill gaps.
  • Collaborate with the Career Experience Lead to embed skills-first experiences throughout the Colleague and People Leader lifecycle.
  • Provide frameworks and guidance to ensure a consistent and effective approach to skills development across the organization.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 10+ years experience in skills architecture, workforce planning, or a related field within a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of organizational design, talent management, and strategic workforce planning.
  • Experience in leveraging technology for skills management and development.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
