We are seeking a high-calibre and experienced professional to join our team in the following role:
Head of Technical Services
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee a team of 60 technical staff, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all facilities across property management, clubhouse operations, and serviced apartments.
- Plan, implement, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance programs for key systems, including air-conditioning, electrical, plumbing, and piping, to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
- Provide strategic direction and technical guidance to the team, ensuring high service standards and efficiency in daily operations.
- Manage technical projects, including renovations, upgrades, and equipment installations, to align with the company’s standards and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies in all technical operations.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
- Monitor budgets and expenses, implementing cost-effective measures without compromising quality and safety.
- Continuously identify opportunities for improvement in technical operations, implementing innovative solutions to enhance performance and service quality.
Requirements:
- Degree or Higher Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in property management, clubhouse operations, and serviced apartment management, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong technical knowledge across multiple disciplines, including air-conditioning, electrical systems, plumbing, and piping.
- Proven leadership experience in managing large teams, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of building regulations, health and safety requirements, and statutory compliance.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to urgent issues effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with technical/maintenance software systems.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on delivering results and continuous improvement.
