VP, Internal Audit (Corporate Banking, Credit & Operations Audit Team)

Responsibilities:

• Plan, lead and execute audit assignments designated under the Corporate Banking, Credit and Operations Audit Team on control adequacy and effectiveness, and provide coaching to team members during audit assignments
• Perform as a subject matter expert in the responsible portfolios to provide effective recommendations on audit observations to responsible management and follow-up the execution of remedial actions
• Track and follow-up on open audit and regulatory issues to ascertain that they are timely and satisfactorily rectified, and provide internal control advices to management
• Provide support to the audit assignments in Mainland whenever necessary
• Establish and maintain internal audit policy and procedures which align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ascertain audits are effectively performed
• Manage audit relationship with related Business and Support Units to assess associated risks for ascertain that the audit plan remains valid and propose any changes in audit scope, where necessary
• Assist in preparing Audit Committee updates to report key audit observations and internal control matters to Audit Committee and Senior Management and provide secretariat support to Audit Committee
• Perform ad hoc duties as required

Requirements:

• University graduate in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management or related disciplines
• Professional qualification of CPA, FRM, ACAMS will be an advantage
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in internal/external audit with banking or financial institutions, preferably with Corporate Banking, FI Credit, Credit Management and Compliance coverage
• Sound knowledge of banking operations, internal control and risk management
• Familiar with relevant regulatory requirements and market practices in HK, Macau and Mainland
• Strong analytical skill, able to work independently with good time management
• Good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Good report writing skills in Chinese and English
• Good command of both spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
• Occasion travelling to Mainland is required
