WPB Chief of Staff

WPB Chief of Staff function adds further strength to the management team as it plays a vital part in driving the formulation of business strategies and managing business performance. The team supports the business to grow revenues and profitability, while meeting de-risking objectives and maintaining an effective risk management framework. Key responsibilities cover the below areas:

  • Support formulation, agreement, and implementation of strategic plans for the business
  • Cost structure transformation and management to future proof the bank
  • Risk governance to support the management team in risk oversight and decision making
  • Provide oversight of fraud management and operations activities

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Senior Manager, Strategic Growth and Business Performance Management

Principal responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and ongoing monitoring of overall WPB cost, revenue and workforce management
  • Develop a holistic cost budgeting and workforce management framework and closely collaborate with key stakeholders in managing respective dynamics and implement control measures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints
  • Conduct comprehensive cost and workforce analysis and provide insights from management information in identifying cost savings opportunities
  • Lead and coordinate projects and initiatives in delivering WPB cost savings & optimisation
  • Prepare monthly reporting and implement cost and workforce management initiatives
  • Work closely with Finance, Human Resources, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure WPB complies with latest policy and guidelines for cost and workforce management

Requirements

  • University graduate with a minimum of 8 years working experience with exposure to retail banking business and/or business finance, and knowledge of related business performance management
  • Proven experience in cost management and driving cost savings initiatives
  • Strong mathematical and data analysis ability
  • Attentiveness to details, self-motivated, problem solving, strong communication skill
  • Great sense of ownership and can work independently
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese
