Ladies Recreation Club

Ladies Recreation Club (LRC) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Learn to Swim Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in swim coaching, recognized qualifications, and exceptional administrative and communication skills. We are looking for someone passionate about developing our Learn-to-Swim program into a premier offering for children in Hong Kong. There will also be Private Lessons and some Masters Squad teaching potentially included within the weekly schedule depending upon experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement a comprehensive Learn-to-Swim program tailored to children of various ages and skill levels.

- Conduct engaging and effective swim lessons that promote water safety, technique, and confidence in young swimmers.

- Provide individualized feedback and support to help each child progress and achieve their swimming goals.

- Collaborate with other coaching staff to ensure a cohesive approach to swim instruction and athlete development.

- Manage administrative tasks related to the Learn-to-Swim program, including scheduling classes, maintaining records, and communicating effectively with parents.

- Foster a positive and encouraging environment that promotes a love of swimming and water safety among children.

- Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in swim instruction and coaching.

- Contribute to marketing and outreach efforts to promote the Learn-to-Swim program within the community.

 

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 6 years of experience in swim coaching, specifically in Learn-to-Swim programs.

- Recognized qualifications in swim coaching (e.g., ASCA, STA, Swim England, or equivalent).

- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff.

- A passion for teaching children and helping them develop water skills in a safe and enjoyable environment.

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate class schedules and events.

- Commitment to developing the Learn-to-Swim program into a leading choice for families in Hong Kong.
