Director, Sustainable Finance

Job Summary
Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for identify client needs against SCB Sustainable finance capabilities, driving sustainable finance origination, building new business and pipelines on the Banks competitive attributes.
• Identify SF transactions, be a centre of excellence understanding financing structures and industry trends. The candidate will further have to support the regional head develop and roll out regional and global strategic initiatives
• Work on the development and implementation of client strategies for Sustainable Finance products
• Work closely with group corporate affairs to build a regional internal / external stake strategy promoting sustainability. Ensuring a consistent messaging to the internally and to the wider market
• Drive new sustainable finance transactions and origination across all products, loans, bonds, trade derivatives and deposits
• Build and maintain an understand on environmental and social risks across industry classes
• Safeguard the bank against reputation risk damage but proactively developing sustainable finance structures that are in line with global industry best practices

Our Ideal Candidate

• Degree (BA or equivalent)
• 10 years plus banking experience with a minimum of 4+ years of experience in Origination
• Knowledge and experience across multiple products (preferred)
• Knowledge of environmental and socials risks and ESRM policies of the bank
