VP, Credit Approver (Structured Credit)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive review on large corporate and commercial credit applications of structured deal and provide recommendations for applications requiring higher approval authority
• Approve credit lending proposals within delegated authority to ensure that the bank’s credit offering is in compliance with bank’s policies, procedures and risk appetite
• Identify and highlight exceptions against the Bank’s Lending Policy and standard terms/conditions being offered to borrowing clients
• Work closely with business units for supplementary information and/or supporting documents, and discuss specific issues over the approval process
• Manage the loan quality of assigned business units
• Organize, prepare and implement corporate related credit policies and procedures

Requirements:

• University graduate in Finance, Economics, Risk Management or related disciplines
• Holder of ECF Certification on Credit Risk Management (CCRP(CPM))
• Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate, commercial and structured credit with approval authority in banks, previous RM experience will be an advantage
• Thorough knowledge of credit environment and market practices in Hong Kong and Mainland China
• Familiar with corporate lending products such as trade finance, commodity trade, bilateral facilities, term lending, commercial real estate finance, syndicated loans and global markets products
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, able to liaise and negotiate appropriate credit solutions with different stakeholders
• Good communication skills with high proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese including Mandarin
