Risk Management Group (RMG) is responsible for the development and maintenance of risk management and internal control frameworks. We provide independent review and challenge to business to ensure that appropriate balance is considered in risk/return decisions. In addition, RMG is responsible for the monitoring and reporting on key risk issues of the Bank. To manage risk effectively and deliver strong financial performance, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Leading a team for more than 15 staff with credit limit and collateral control and monitoring functions to support Institutional Banking, Private Banking and Treasures segments
- Familiar with bank facility types, collaterals, processes and controls for monitoring credit limits and collateral values
- Supervise the team ensuring an efficient, effective and delivery of high quality of work and services
- Lead the team to develop and continuously review, streamline, and improve productivity and efficiency of daily operations with the use of technology / Gen-AI
- Lead the team to support business growth and deliver credit control functions in compliance with various policies/ guidelines and to regularly review manuals to ensure processes are updated with robust controls under clear roles & responsibilities
- Communicate with staff members of changes in policies/ guidelines about internal control standards and external statutory regulations
- Lead the team to manage key initiatives and projects for new products/systems and participate in UAT on various system launch / enhancements
- Provide mentorship, coaching and continue upskilling team members with change and growth mindset.Develop staff for talent management and succession planning
- Manage staff resources effectively. Constantly review, appraise and reward staff according to their performance
- Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers
Requirement
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Thorough knowledge in credit products, including trade, treasury and loan products
- Good knowledge on credit and/or regulatory requirements
- Good understanding of latest development and emerging risks in market
- Sound management skill to effectively monitor the daily works and to assure service lead time being met
- Strong people management skills, ability to lead the team by coaching, guiding and motivating team members
- Good understanding of data structure, system infrastructure and application functionalities, including upstream / downstream implications.
- Good English communication and writing proficiency
