Risk Management Group (RMG) is responsible for the development and maintenance of risk management and internal control frameworks. We provide independent review and challenge to business to ensure that appropriate balance is considered in risk/return decisions. In addition, RMG is responsible for the monitoring and reporting on key risk issues of the Bank. To manage risk effectively and deliver strong financial performance, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.

 

Responsibilities

·Provide leadership in developing and executing a comprehensive BCM program that ensures the Bank's operational resilience and ability to respond effectively to crises and disruptions. 

·Foster a culture of risk awareness and preparedness throughout the organization, empowering stakeholders to actively support the BCM lifecycle, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, recovery strategy planning, and annual testing. 

·Drive the development and implementation of a BCP Quality Assurance Review program to strengthen respective units’ BCP and address any potential gaps 

·Establish and achieve BCM KPI and scorecard deliverables 

·Lead and manage Emergency Response Committees (ERC) and the Crisis Management Committee (CMC), ensuring timely and effective decision-making during critical incidents. 

·Establish clear communication channels and protocols to ensure the timely dissemination of critical information to senior management, stakeholders, and the customers 

·Conduct regular crisis management exercises, including the biennial Whole Industry Simulation Exercise (WISE) to test and refine response plans, ensuring the Bank's readiness to respond to a wide range of scenarios. 

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the Bank's end-to-end operational resilience for all critical operations, ensuring the continuity of critical operations in the face of disruptions.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and mitigate third-party dependencies, reducing the potential impact of external events on the Bank's operations. 
  • Provide attestations and reports to Executive Committee and the Board of Directors on the Bank's BCM readiness, including risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and testing results. 
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance BCM competency among staff at all levels. 

 

 

Requirements

·Minimum 8 years of practical BCM or related work experience with working knowledge of the Bank's key functional processes and resources. 

·Sufficient knowledge & understanding in business continuity planning techniques and experience of banking operations and processes 

·Ability to lead and communicate effectively

·Self-motivated with strong analytical mind and creative thinking 

·Results oriented 

·Excellent problem-solving and presentation skills 

·Excellent report writing skills 

·Very good understanding of Management Information System and Disaster Recovery (DR) 

·Proficient in English and Cantonese
