Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
  • Monitor food quality while preparing food and report out if any related issues.
  • Coordinate with related kitchen staff to ensure deliver proper portion quality ingredients on time for cooking
  • Maintain an organized kitchen area with best practice and following hygiene guideline
  • Clean and maintain chopping tools, cutting boards, and related equipment
  • Assist in monitoring ingredient inventory levels and manage replenishment
  • Maintain accurate ingredients inventory records and assist in receiving and stock keeping

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience as chopper in catering establishments with 5 years at similar capacity in Chinese restaurants or reputable hotels
  • A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills, well-organized, fast paced, and flexible at work
  • Preferably with experience in luxury international brands
