Section Head of Remittance Operations - Central Operations

Responsibilities

• Manage the operations of Remittance Operations Section
• Ensure all daily transactions and relevant controls are performed accurately and properly according to the Bank’s standard procedures
• Co-ordinate the industry wide system development relating to remittance operations
• Deal with correspondent banks and branches on problems arisen from remittance operations
• Liaise and communicate with other departments on payment services, SWIFT related operational and control matters
• Supervise subordinates and ensure their works meet the required standard of the bank
• Participate actively in any ad-hoc projects as required

Requirements

• University graduates, preferably major in Banking, Economics, Finance
• AHKIB or equivalent professional qualifications is an advantage  
• Minimum of 10 years related experience in banking sector, with at least 5 years in supervisory position on operation support
• Sound knowledge of remittance operations with knowledge in AML and compliance requirements
• Familiar with various payment systems, such as SWIFT, RTGS, RMA, etc. is preferred
• Good understanding of relevant policies, procedures, practices and rules
• Strong technical knowledge of the Bank’s products and services
• A team leader with good communication skills and risk awareness
• Ability to lead a team to ensure excellent services are provided
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage
