Associate Director, Wealth Planning, PvB

Job Summary

•    Support Wealth Planning Specialists in the acquiring new fiduciary businesses.  
•    Work closely with the trust companies and Legacy Planning Team to facilitate the Wealth Planning Specialists in the further management of existing fiduciary structures.
•    Support Wealth Planning Specialist in the preparation of business proposals 
•    Assist Wealth Planning Specialists in the preparation of documentation for the setting up of the fiduciary structures and advisory proposals.
•    Work closely with Legacy Planning Team on insurance referral (if applicable) arising from WP client discussions
•    Work closely with the trust companies during the process of setting up fiduciary structures and in dealing with related documentation 
•    Work closely with Client Service Managers (occasionally direct with Relationship Managers) during the process of setting up of new fiduciary structures and insurance cases 
•    Assist the Wealth Planning Specialists in the process of annual reviews of fiduciary structures and insurance cases
•    Be able to handle Private Banking clients on estate planning needs and enquiries and apply various wealth planning solutions (e.g. legal/tax advisory, trust, insurance, immigration solutions) as planning tools to assist the client to achieve the wealth and succession planning
•    To work into building good relationship with intermediaries, e.g. insurance brokers, accountants, lawyers and other 3rd party professionals to deliver holistic solutions to Private Banking clients

  • Assist the WP team to achieve the team KPIs. Be able to aware and understand the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates and able to adapt and perform.

  • Be responsible and compliance to business risk framework and follow the process diligently

People & Talent

  • Work in collaboration with the WP team and other stakeholders of PvB (e.g. RMs, IAs, SPOKE and other support function of PvB)

Risk Management

  • Responsible to be aware and understand the main risk facing the Group/PvB and the role the individuals plays in managing them.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • Trust and fiduciary business development experience     
  • Excel and Powerpoint     

Qualifications

  • EDUCATION     UNDER GRADUATE 
  • MEMBERSHIP     STEP (TO ACQUIRE)
  • Understandings of basic regulatory/tax regimes in Asia Pacific countries
  • Trust and fiduciary business development experience 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skill
  • Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin are MUST
  • Polished presentation and negotiation skills
