We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Senior Manager, Global Banking Portfolio Management.

Principal responsibilities

  • Drive the overall capital efficiencies and new distribution opportunities as well as portfolio management through proactive management of balance sheet utilization and concentration risk in generating optimal returns on all lending and non-lending activities.
  • Drive and design a robust portfolio management infrastructure in actively managing lending assets to achieve the sustainable revenue growth, optimize balance sheet capacity, maintain high credit quality and optimal sector diversification.
  • Formulate and implement growth strategies and client plans to support business development and achieve financial goals.
  • Oversee the monitoring of non-financial risk related matters and support the business in its identification, oversight, and management of its current and emerging risks within risk appetite.
  • Lead and drive business collaboration to facilitate business development and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Recognize the critical success factors in highly competitive customer segment, maximize customer profitability, expand the market share, and defend HASE's market position via the customer-centric approach.
  • Maintain regular contacts with market players in the syndicated loan sector and keep abreast of potential market deals to secure a fair share for the Bank.
  • ·  Develop long term relationship with both internal and external stakeholders for branding and sustainable growth and cross-referral revenue opportunities with other line of business.
  • Lead the Relationship Executives to achieve stretched targets and ensure robust performance management to drive staff motivation.
  • Communicate a clear vision for Global Banking that aligns with the Bank’s and Group’s vision, values, and culture, and to inspire and engage people to create an inclusive, high performing, customer-centric culture.
  • Lead and develop a professional, proactive, and performance-driven culture; plan for succession and continuity of skills and participate in coaching schemes as appropriate; ensure delivery of business objectives.
  • Lead and steer the team for the implementation of new directives in response to market changes and execution of new initiatives for the Bank / the Group’s program.
  • Develop and institutionalize financing knowledge and competence; provide senior oversight and support.
  • Manage the processes, infrastructure and resources needed to deliver agreed team plans and targets; to identify and implement improvements and collaborate with colleagues to maximize end to end integration, effectiveness, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • University degree in Finance, Marketing, Business or related discipline;
  • Minimum of 15 years of working experience in banking sector with at least 3  years in senior level positions, preferably in portfolio/ risk management, strategy and relationship management;
  • Proven tracking record in managing portfolio and leading teams that deliver results aligned to long term strategic business goals, and ability to work on multi-function projects in dynamic and competitive environment;
  • Solid experience in management of balance sheet, credit and non-financial risks;
  • ·   Sound problem solving skills to distill complex business issues, make use of data analytics in deriving solutions to achieve strategic and business targets;
  • Excellent relationship building, influencing and communication skills;
  • Open to new ideas and agile in working; ability to drive/embrace change and transformation;
  • Ability to work independently and responsibly in a dynamic environment;
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese;
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
