Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management: Manage and service a portfolio of Marine Cargo accounts, ensuring their financial sustainability and growth

Specialist Role: Act as a subject matter expert for both internal and external stakeholders. Provide support and guidance to junior colleagues, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment

Business Development Support: Assist the Business Development team in assessing and identifying client risks, needs, and requirements. Translate these insights into tailored insurance and service solutions that meet client expectations

Customer Support: Provide high-standard customer support and service, ensuring satisfaction and long-term retention

Client Retention and Growth: Drive client retention and revenue growth through organic growth, new sales initiatives, and cross-selling opportunities

Underwriting and Broking: Prepare comprehensive underwriting reports, lead broking efforts, negotiate, and place risks in the insurance market to secure favourable terms for clients

Relationship Building: Build and maintain close business relationships with clients and prospects at various stakeholder levels, ensuring continuous engagement and satisfaction

Administrative Tasks: Prepare cargo slips, handle referrals, and process endorsements accurately and efficiently

 

Requirements:

Qualifications: Completion of IIQE Paper 1 and 2

Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in Marine Insurance, or less if possessing relevant experience in other specialist lines

Skill Set: Highly organized, independent, and a good team player with excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with stakeholders

Career Development: Demonstrates a willingness to learn and develop a stable career within the company

Specialisation: Critical experience in Cargo Insurance is essential
