Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of cooking and food preparation.
  • Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays.
  • Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish to be served.
  • Monitor the quantity of food that is prepared.
  • Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks.
  • Monitor stock of kitchen supplies and food.
  • Maintain kitchen logs for food safety program and food products.
  • Ensure the quality of the food items and notify supervisor if a product does not meet specifications.
  • Ensure that all food products are served in accordance with established policies, guidelines and recipes.
  • Ensure cleanliness, proper handling and maintenance of kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas.
  • To perform any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or Department Head

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience as Stove in similar capacity in Chinese restaurants or reputable hotels
  • A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills, well-organized, fast paced, and flexible at work
  • Preferably with experience in luxury international brands
