(Assistant) Housekeeping Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

• Ensure in general inventories by taking inventories for cleaning and guest supplies, recording all stock, and maintaining control of all issuing
• Assuring the cleanliness and condition of guest rooms and public areas achieves the highest standards
• Manages the Room Attendant on the floor and conducts inspection on a daily basis
• Maintain good communications with other departments to ensure daily operation running smoothly
• To monitor closely the work performed by various outside contractors i.e. landscaping company, pest control company, flower vendor, etc
• Be open and excited to learn other’s culture and personal difference
• Provide sincere and hospitable service to guests as set by the InterContinental Hotel Group
• Present a professional manner and exhibit the ability to anticipate needs
• Establish cleaning program for guest rooms and public area to rise up guest satisfaction
• Check all VIP and special attention rooms as well as vacant and occupied rooms
• Respond to guest complaints and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction
• Revise staffing and head counts in the department according to occupancy

QUREQUIRED SKILLS

• Tertiary education is preferred 
• 5 years relevant experience in luxury hotels / hospitality industry is preferable 
• Capable to build interpersonal relationship and acquire employee coaching skills
• Demonstrate ability to lead and develop Housekeeping Department staff members and interact with guest
• Independent, self-motivated and enthusiastic
• Supervisory skills such as problem-solving, motivating, organizational and training abilities are often used
• Able to speak and write effectively in English
