Job Responsibilities
- Reporting to Executive Chef, the incumbent’s areas of responsibility comprise overseeing all food preparation areas related to Chinese culinary (e.g. banquets, room service, restaurant, bar/lounge and employee cafeteria) and all support areas (e.g., dish room and purchasing) including menu design and cost control
- Exhibits culinary talents in Chinese cuisine by personally performing tasks while leading the staff and managing all food related functions
- Works to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing the financial performance in all areas of responsibility
- Supervises kitchen areas to ensure consistent and high quality products are produced
- Responsible for guiding and developing staff including direct reports, while serving as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors.
- Must ensure sanitation and food standards are achieved
- To achieve goals established by superior including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.
Requirements
- 10 years of relevant experience
- Hotel experience is preferable but not a must
- Graduates from hotel industry training school preferred
- Sense of market trends, menu planning and food cost control
- Holder of Hygiene Certificate or equivalent Certificate
