Assistant Housekeeper - Public Area

Job Responsibilities:

  • Report to Assistant Executive Housekeeper to supervise, monitor and coordinate activities of  Public Area Attendants to fulfil brand standard in terms of cleanliness, service and condition
  • Schedule time table for regular cleaning and maintenance tasks including carpet shampooing, window cleaning, room carpets, upholstery, and draperies as needed, along with deep cleaning projects and window cleaning as necessary, as well as follow-up on ad hoc and emergency duties
  • Work closely with Engineering Department on preventive maintenance program and carry out inspection on restaurants, lobby, elevators, washrooms, driveway and other public area
  • Prepare store requisition, purchase other supplies and equipment, and also monitor par stock on all housekeeping guest supplies and linens

Job Requirements:

  • 5 - 8 years of experience in hotel housekeeping operation with no less than 3 years’ supervisory experience in a similar capacity.
  • Detail-minded and ability in steering the team and other department heads to rectify the facilities flaws
  • Ability to maintain clear and efficient communication and coordination, such as working closely with Front Office and Engineering Department to fully understand the occupancy situation and arranging necessary R&M program
  • Maintaining high quality of housekeeping standards in Public Area
