RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the Housekeeping Department, planning and organizing operations to most effectively achieve and maintain the established standards of cleanliness in guestrooms, public and employee areas
  • Establish and maintain standards and procedures for the department. Initiate new procedures to match with the business needs
  • Ensuring guests satisfaction with hotel cleanliness, responding to guest needs, ensuring safety and security of rooms, maintaining inventory and cost controls, selecting, training, maintaining and managing a motivated and skilled work force
  • Work closely with Engineering Department for necessary maintenance or re-furbishing programs of guest rooms and public areas
  • Supervise and control the ordering and usage of cleaning supplies, guest supply costs and chemical
  • Prepare departmental expenditure budget for coming year for management approval
  • Evaluate staff performance regularly and to give guidance for immediate improvement in weak area

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE

  • Diploma in Hospitality Management or related disciplines preferred
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in Housekeeping Department with at least 4 years in supervisory level
  • Excellent in housekeeping staff scheduling, operations and leadership
  • Ability to guide, coach and motivate departmental members
  • Strong commitment to service excellence
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
