The Role
The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:
- Monitor and control day to day security operations delivering by contracted teams
- Monitor security contractor performance by selecting and training on-site team member
- Respond and investigate security incidents and emergencies
- Assist in ensuring strict compliance of terminal safety rules
- Conduct initial investigation and coordination with Risk Management and other technical units regarding safety incidents in order to avoid reoccurrence
- Ensure proper execution of terminal’s Port Facility Security Plan
- Assist in security training, awareness and education programs
- Coordinate and liaise with internal (functions and departments etc.) and external interested parties (authorities and customers etc.)
The Person
The ideal candidate should have / be:
- Diploma in security management or related discipline
- At least 6 years experience in security practices and operations with 2 years in a supervisory level
- Familiar with container terminal operations
- Good knowledge of ISPS Code is an advantage
- Conversant with PC and Microsoft Office application (Word and Excel)
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Willing to perform shift duty
- Valid driving license (Classification codes: 1 & 2) with good driving record
