Responsibilities

  • Supports the department in related to all sales activities from the local and foreign corporate companies relative to rooms, Food & Beverage and other possible business for the hotel.
  • Contribute new ideas on product presentation and room set up.
  • Solicits business from existing corporate accounts.
  • Develops and establishes new accounts for the future if not for immediate business, through personal calls, phone calls and written correspondences.
  • Plans advance weekly sales activities or calls to achieve maximum use of time and effort, or even to exceed minimum number of sales calls required.
  • Develops and maintains good business relationship with personal contacts that may have the potential to produce business.
  • Entertains new prospective clients in the hotel.  Show the hotel facilities that may be deciding factor in its favor.
  • Entertains local or foreign prospective clients to maintain or establish good business relationships.
  • Develops and maintains an updated master list of all corporate accounts including the name of the decision makers.
  • Establishes and maintains good rapport with the tourism organizations and associations which might be of great assistance in obtaining new sources of business.
  • Performed other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience gained in hotel.
  • Degree holder or above in Hospitality Management or relevant discipline.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills, self-motivated, aggressive, independent and customer-oriented with strong leadership and problem solving skills
  • Fluent in spoken English and Cantonese.  Ability to speak Mandarin would definitely be an advantage.
