Sommelier (Pre-opening team - 5 days work)

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant
  • Strong in wine knowledge and able to analyze patrons feedback, and wine suggestions
  • Assist in organizing wine trainings for staff members of the company
  • Coach, Supervise and lead the team to provide high standards of service  
  • Drive sales and assisting patrons in their choices       
  • Monitor daily inventory of the wines, spirits and beverages
  • Responsible for the operations efficiency, profitability and marketing strategy of the restaurant
  • Develop, manage and monitor the team members performance           
  • Handle patrons’ enquiries and complaints                        

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years operations experience in fine dining
  • Experienced and proficient in cost control and promotion management   
  • Self-organized and detail-oriented with strong sense of responsibility
  • Excellent interpersonal, management and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in POS and computer knowledge
  • Good command in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Strong wine Knowledge (WSET 3 or above)
